Gram-negative, slightly curved rods. Motile.
Colonies are colourless, round, entire, convex and 1-1.5 mm in diameter after culture
on 5% blood agar for 72 hours under microaerobic conditions.
Most trains grow on media containing
1% glycine, 2% NaCl or 32 mg/L nalidixic acid
but not on media containing 32 mg/L cephalothin,  0.05% safranin, 64 mg/L
cefoperazone or 32 mg/L carbenicillin. Can grow at 37 and 42 ºC. No growth on
MacConkey agar.
Isolated from shellfish, human faeces & dialysis fluid.
Undetermined.
