QUALITY CONTROL
Inoculate and incubate at 35 °C for 24-48 hours. Following germs should grow
abundantly: Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853,
Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212
COMPOSITION
Meat extract 2 g, Acid hydrolysed casein 17.5 g, Starch 5 g, Agar 17 g, Distilled water
ad 1000ml;
Adjust pH to 7.3. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121 ºC for 15 minutes.
Sheep blood or horse serum may be added for fastidious germs cultivation.

Medium used for antimicrobial susceptibility testing by diffusion method (accordingly with NCCLS/CLSI and EUCAST standards). For
MIC method use Mueller-Hinton broth.
