Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive cells forming long filaments >20 µm in length.
Grows in Columbia broth medium, in 2-3 days, at 37 ºC. Strictly anaerobic.
Isolated from the mouse intestine.

Positive results for beta-galactosidase, beta-glucuronidase, N-acetyl glucosamine
and pyroglutamic acid arylamidase (Rapid ID 32A). All reactions for acidification of
