Species description is based on a single isolate.
Irregular rods of approx,1 µm in length that form short to long chains. Non-motile.
Non-spore-forming
After 7-14 days of growth in BHI broth at 37 ºC under anaerobic conditions, the
species forms characteristic amalgams of cells that appear as flakes floating in the
liquid medium.
Isolated from faeces of a German Landrace pig in Freising, Germany.
