Species description is based on a single strain.
Gram-positive rods, grouped in chains.
Colonies on BHI medium after 48 h are circular, smooth, shiny with entire margins
roughly 0.3-0.4 mm in diameter. Haemolytic. Grows well in a temperature range of
30-40 ºC, with weak growth at 45 ºC. It tolerates a range of NaCl concentrations
(1-20%), with delayed growth between 7-20% in PY-X medium. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from a human faecal sample.
Undetermined.
