Old synonym: "Pectobacterium carotovorum M022".
Gram-negative rods.
Grows at 28 and 37 ºC in TY medium (5 g/l tryptone,3 g/l, yeast extract and 15 g/l agar.
Isolated from a waterfall source in Selangor district, Malaysia.
Tests on potato showed that the six studied strains were able to macerate potato tuber slices.
