Each species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods. Motile. Non‐spore-forming.
Colonies are circular, white, 2 mm in diameter after 24 h of incubation at 35 ºC on
nutrient agar. Growth occurs at 4-40 ºC with optimal growth at 35 and 37 ºC, but not at
2, 42, 45 or 50 ºC. Growth occurs at pH 5.0-10.0, optimally at pH 6.0-7.0. Cells grows
in the presence of 0-9% (w/v) NaCl. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from human sputum, in China.

alpha-D-glucopyranoside, N-acetylglucosamine, raffinose, L-rhamnose, D-ribose, salicin,  L-sorbitol, sucrose, trehalose, and
D-xylose.

Negative results for gelatin hydrolysis, H
2S production, indole production, lysine decarboxylase, oxidase, deaminase, urease, acid
production from D-adonitol, D-arabitol, D-arabinose, L-fucose, dulcitol, erythritol, glycogen, 2-ketogluconate, inositol, inulin, D-lyxose,
melezitose, methyl alpha-D-mannopyranoside, L-sorbose, D-sorbitol, starch, turanose, methyl beta-D-xylopyranoside, L-xylose, and
xylitol.
