kribbensis Yoon et al 2003.
Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-variable rods, 1.3-1.8 x 4.0-7.0 μm. Motile by peritrichous flagella. Produce
ellipsoidal spores in swollen sporangium.
Colonies are cream, circular to slightly irregular, flat to low convex and translucent on
TSA. Aerobic and anaerobic growth. Can grow at 10-44 ºC, optimally at 30-37 ºC.
Grow in 0-4% NaCl but not in 5 or 7% NaCl media. Optimum pH 6.5-8.0.
Isolated from a soil sample from Taejon City, Korea. Is bioflocculant for efficient harvesting of algal cells.
Undetermined.
