konsidensis Ko, Kim, Lee, Shin, Jung, Peck and Song, 2008.
Description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive, motile rods, 0.5 x 2.0-3.5 μm. Produce terminal or subterminal,
ellipsoidal, spores.
Grows optimally on blood agar at 37 ºC and pH 7.0. Aerobic and anaerobic growth.
Can grow at 30-42 ºC, not at 50 ºC. Grow at 2% NaCl but not at 5% NaCl media. Grow
at pH 5.2-8.
Isolated from human blood, in Korea.
Isolated from the blood of a febrile patient.
