aurantiacus Wasoontharawat et al. 2017.
Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive rods, 0.6-0.9 x 2.1-3.7 µm. Non-motile. Produce subterminal
endospores in swollen sporangia.
Colonies are circular, mucoid, opaque and whitish-orange after incubation on TSA
medium for 2 days incubation at 30 ºC. Grows at 20-40 ºC (optimum 30-37 ºC), at pH
6-8 (optimum pH 7.0-7.5) and in the presence of 0-2% (w/v) NaCl. No growth is
observed at 45 ºC and at pH 5.5. Grows on nutrient agar, TSA and R2A. Aerobic.
Isolated from ant nest soil collected from Udon Thani Province, Thailand.
Resistant to chloramphenicol (30 µg), tetracycline (30 µg), bacitracin (10 µg) and ampicillin (10 µg).
Undetermined.
