Prakash et al. 2014.
Gram-negative coccoid cells, 0.2-0.4 x 1-2 μm. Motile. Non-spore-forming.
Capsulated.
Colonies on TSA agar after 72 h of incubation are 2 mm diameter non-pigmented and
cream coloured. Grows at pH 5-10, optimum at pH 8. Grows at 20–40 ºC after 72 h of
incubation with optimum growth between 30 and 35 ºC. It shows better growth without
salt, can grow in 2% NaCl, but not in 3% NaCl. Grows on MacConkey, lactose is not
fermented. Aerobic.
Isolated from a stool sample of a healthy human in India.
Undetermined.
