Gram-negative rods, 0.6-0.8 x 1.2-1.3 µm, in ZoBell 2216E broth. Non-motile,
non-flagellated, no endospores or capsules are formed.
Colonies on ZoBell 2216 agar   are circular, smooth,  beige, convex, non-luminescent.
Grows  on TCBS agar.
Facultatively anaerobic, mesophilic and neutrophilic chemo-organotroph.
Can grow in nutrient broth with: 3% NaCl. No growth in 0%, 1% or 6% NaCl. Growth
temperature 15 to 30 °C. No growth at 4 or 40 °C.
Isolated from the gut of the Australian abalones (Haliotis laevigata &  H. rubra)  collected at the coastal area of  Clifton Springs, Victoria,
Australia.
Susceptible to O/129 vibriostatic agent.
Unknown.
