Oh and Yoon , 2007.
Gram negative, oval -shaped cells, 0.9-1.3 x 1.5-2.1 μm, motile by a single polar
flagellum.
Colonies are smooth, circular to slightly irregular, pale yellow-coloured, glistening,
flat, 2.0-4.0 mm in diameter (3 days/30 °C). Grows on marine agar and broth 2216E
Becton Dickinson. Is unable to grow in the absence of Na+. Grows in marine broth
with: 2 - 6% NaCl (2-3 % NaCl optimum).
Anaerobic, temperature 4-41 °C, (optimum 25-30 °C), optimum pH 7.5-8.5 (can grow
at pH 5). Not bioluminescent.
Isolated from a tidal flat sediment at Saemankum, Korea. Not susceptible to Oleandomycin or Tetracycline.
Unknown (none).
