Description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive cocci, forming small groups. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies on brain heart infusion agar supplemented with 5% horse blood are about
0.5-0.8 mm in diameter, yellow-golden, round with raised margin, smooth, convex
and non-haemolytic at 37 ºC. Grows well under aerobic and anaerobic conditions at
25, 30 or 37 ºC, but not at 10 or 45 ºC.
Isolated from raw camel milk in the north of Morocco.
Undetermined.
