Lancefield group D.
Description is based on a single strain isolation.
Gram positive, spherical cells, grouped in short chains. Non-motile.
Produces a pale yellow color. It grows at 10 and 35°C and has delayed growth at
45°C. It grows in 2.0, 4.0, and 6.5% NaCl. Tetrazolium reduction is positive.
Black colonies are not produced when grown on tellurite-containing media.
Isolated from the bile of a patient with cholecystitis.
Unknown.
