Staphylococcus pulvereri is a later synonym of Staphylococcus vitulinus. Practically all characteristics of three strains (including the
type strain) of Staphylococcus pulvereri (Zakrzewska-Czerwinska et al. 1995) are in conformity with those described for the species
Staphylococcus vitulinus (corrig. Webster et al. 1994).
